Parents Association
We have an excellent Parentsβ Association who work in co-operation with the school Principal, teaching staff and Board of Management.
The Parents Association is affiliated to the National Parents Council and holds an annual AGM and monthly meetings.Β
This committee meet regularly to support and organise school events and fundraisers. The main functions are to:
-Represent the views of parents
-To inform parents of developments in education and in the school
-To foster co-operation between parents, teachers and the B.O.M.
Parental Involvment
We encourage a wide variety of formal and informal situations to promote parental involvement in the school. Parents of incoming Junior Infants are invited to an induction meeting in early May each year.
New pupils are given the opportunity to spend an afternoon in the school where they meet their teacher and their new class mates. The school hold annual Parent/Teacher meetings during which your childβs development is discussed.
School reports are sent home at the end of the school year and the home work journal allows for regular written communication between parents and teachers. We send home a digital Newsletter every month during the school year (which can also be viewed on our website and Twitter account) and Parents are invited to a variety of open days, sports days and celebrations.
Parents offer assistance for sporting activities, and organise events such as Bingo and parent evenings.
