Art

Here in St Olivers we have a great tradition of encouraging Art and artistic expression within the school. Children are given the opportunity to explore all aspects of the Art Curriculum and present their lives and life experiences through the medium of Art.

Senior classes go on an annual trip to the National Gallery in Dublin and go to local exhibitions in the Solstice and other artistic centres. We have regular Art competitions within the school and the walls are adorned with the colourful and vibrant work of the children. We invite local artists and guests speakers in to do workshops with the children and invite the input of parents and family members who may have something to offer with regard to Artistic expression and enjoyment. St Olivers is a place where artistic expression is encouraged and appreciated and provides a great link between staff, the children and the local community.
